Letter before action following earlier correspondence

Use this document to create a letter before taking action with respect to a claim that you have made. You should have previously sent a letter to the person you are making a claim against, detailing how the claim arose and what the effects have been, but had no response to your letter. Without sending this letter before taking action in court, the court may find that you have acted unreasonably, and may penalise you by disallowing or reducing the costs or interest that you might otherwise have been entitled to. Please note that you cannot use this letter if your claim relates to a personal injury you have suffered.
