Letter to a solicitor requesting a remuneration certificate
If you have been charged what you consider to be an unfair and/or unreasonable bill by a solicitor, you can use this letter to ask your solicitor to apply for a remuneration certificate from the Legal Complaints Service. A remuneration certificate is a statement from the Legal Complaints Service which states the amount that they believe your solicitor should be paid for the work completed. Please note that this document can only be used in England & Wales. (v. 12726.1.2)
